Dmitri Wright is an impressionist artist and educator. In his landscapes
of Tuscany and Provence,
the artist celebrates nature, capturing the brilliant light, vibrant atmosphere
and
colorful landscapes of the Tuscan olive groves and Provencal floral fields.
Dmitri's mentors include Max Becher at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial
Arts, Newark, NJ; Reuben Tam at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, where Dmitri
was a Max Beckman International Scholarship Winner; and Wolf Kahn
and Will Barnet at Cooper Union, Manhattan, NY. The artist lives in Greenwich,
CT and was the first Artist-in-Residence at the Historic Society of the Town
of
Greenwich, Cos Cob,CT. He also currently teaches at the Greenwich Art Society;
the
Silvermine Art School, New Canaan, CT; and Weir Farm in Wilton, CT.
Dmitri's work is found in museum, corporate and private collections.
