John S. Howard

John began painting in the Hamptons in the 1950's, and after retiring from his business career in Manhattan in 1988, began to devote himself to painting as a full-time occupation. He studied at SUNY Purchase; with Dmitri Wright in his Greenwich studio; and at the Silvermine School of Art.

John is particularly known for his paintings of sand dunes. He divides his time between East Hampton, NY and Vero Beach, FL.
